East Valley Senior High School Reviews

Not the best but has really high educated teachers.

When I first attended that school I hated; with time I began to love. I think that administration and teachers are trying to make the best out of the hard situation. although there are students who don't take school seriously. There are other who do, I am an AP student who has been pushed to my limits. All thanks to the teachers and administration. Teachers like Mrs. Brooks and Ms. Underwood are taking us to Paris and London for Spring Break.

At first I didn't seem to like this school but now this school is so much better. The teachers are great too. Since the new princepal arrived everything changed for the better.

This is not a good school..at least not now. They should have waited to open it when they had everything set and planned out. They are trying to cram things into 'mesters' which are half a semester. For example Biology, there are tenth graders who havent taken biolgy, why? well because it hasnt been given to them. It works on a four block schedule, the district wanted to try it out so they are expirimenting on us. This is scarring to our education, we are not learning what we should be learning, everything is limited into four 80 minute long classes, in stead of six. This is a low education school meant to help the students who have fallen back, it is meant to help them get more credts by giving them electives and easy classes they wont fail, instead of challanging classes that will help them learn...

Some teachers are really great. However, students do not seem to appreciate them as they treat them like the other dumb teachers, it is a sad situation. There is no structure among the leadership and teachers and staff are leaving left and right out of frustration. The administrators seem not to have knowledge of how to fix the problem themselves. They lack the knowledge to teach the teachers how to teach...it is frustrating. I am leaving this school this year.

Although the students underneath me have similar beliefs about the school, I feeel that the school is a work in progress. It could be better but at the moment it is unorganized and undergoing many stumbling blocks. I feel that we need help from other schools and officials to make it better.

I am a student at east valley high school in north hollywood california. I never feel safe at this school. The teachers have no authority over their classrooms, or students...... I'm definetly not graduating from a school like this.

I find some of the teachers top rated, committed and have great teaching. However, the school culture is a mess...tagging everywhere and the principal seems not to care about all these.
