Carver Elementary School Reviews

Carver provides students with a challenging curriculum and postive atmosphere. The majority of the teachers have their Master's Degree and are continuing their education at the nearby university, taking courses to keep them current on various strategies and topics in teaching. Teachers at Carver are professional and care about all the students.

Carver is okay, but I wish I could have kept my child at Lowell. I find my child not being challenged enough, & not given enough homework. I'm still up in the air about him returning in the fall. He has also come home upset about fights in the bathrooms & the older kids kissing, I am assuming it's the older kids but it is upsetting considering this is a K-5 school.

This is our second year at Carver. I have a child in Kindergarten and 1st grade. I was concerned about sending my children to a public school after being at a private religious pre-school. I have to say that Carver has been a truly wonderful experience. My children's expereinces so far have been very positive and have pushed them to challenge themselves. The Kindergarten staff is so loving and caring. They have truly helped to re-inforce our education foundation. I could not have asked for a better school.

We are finishing up our first year at Carver (1st Grade) and we have loved it! It really is a community (but without the cliques), as there is huge parental involvement and everyone helps out. The PTA is extremely active and effective. The school is up to date, safe, and clean. They get out at 2:10 but there is free supervised play until 3:30 everyday and also in the mornings. My daughter's teacher is so kind and understanding, and she works VERY hard inside and outside the classroom, as do all of the teachers. I really value how she works with every childs individual needs and levels, helping the slower ones and challenging the higher ones. Carver is working very hard to maintain their high score and we have never had a problem there. I would highly recommend it.

This is our first year at Carver and I have to say that we love it. My son started Kindergarten and looks forward to going to school everyday. The entire staff, teachers and administration make you you feel so welcome the minute you walk on to the campus. I highly recommend this school to anyone that is looking for a warm caring environment with challenging and rewarding academics. We feel so blessed that this is our neighborhood school and our child can experience this wonderful environment.

This is our second year at Carver and we have been nothing but impressed. We have a daughter in kindergarten and a daughter in 3rd grade and both of their teachers are excellent. We are continually awed by the amazing teachers here. I have been told by numerous parents there are no 'bad' teachers at Carver and, so far, I would have to agree. The principal seems to really care about the children and my kids love Nurse Judy. It is just a wonderful, caring environment and an excellent school.

My three girls all went to Carver. There is a helpful, friendly atmosphere and the PTA is wonderful. They provide lots of resources for children who need help. The teachers, principals and nurse have been wonderful.

My son is in 5th grade this year at Carver. He has had quality teachers through out his years at Carver. My son has some anxiety issues and all of his teachers have been so caring and supportive to him. I will miss Carver as we go into the 6th grade next year.

well i just enrolled my daughter at caver and so far things are going great! She is in kindergarten and I was just somewhat scared at first as how she would adapt but she's doing great. The teacher's seem to be doing a great job and I highly would say that all parents(especially single parents like me)should send their child to carver!

Carver has a half-day Kindergarten, which we love, and the Kindergarten team is *amazing*. We wondered if our daughter (DD) would be challenged and we are so happy that they do reading at the child s pace. DD was on the verge of reading when she started school and in two months she started reading to me! She is writing sentences and loves going to school everyday. The homework is a bit overwhelming, though. We are very happy at Carver!

Carver Elementary provides students with the highest quality education. The teachers truly treat each child as an individual and really care about the child's success. The kindergarten team is amazing. The children have so much fun they don't even realize they are learning. I have had all three of my children at Carver and I would recommend this school to any family in the district.

I'm proud to have my children at Carver. The principal, teachers, staff and parents show great concern for a healthy learning environment. It's great to have such an outstanding school right here in our own neighborhood.

Both of my boys attend Carver as I did as a girl. The teachers and principal are VERY involved with the students as individuals. I receive constant feedback from both of my boys' teachers. My boys are cared for and encouraged every step of the way! Carver Elementary is a Five Star school!
