Windsor Hills Math Science School Reviews

My daughter attendes school at windsor hills her teacher was mr.ramirez he was a great teacher he explained things well and was very well organized I hated that he was affected by this budget big mess but over all the school was ok

My son will be in the 2nd grade in September. His Pre-K teacher, Ms. West, was outstanding. Kinder. was very good. It just keeps getting better as far as the teachers. His 1st grade teacher, Ms. Macasero knows her subjects, how to treat her children with respect, and how to get the very best out of her students. I t is obvious that she cares about her students succeeding, and she loves her career as a teacher. There should be more teachers like Ms. Macasero in the District. I would recommend all of the past teachers to any parent.

its a realy great school i loved it i am in the 11th grade now and i miss everything about that school all my teachers even the principle its just a realy great school to go to

I have a son who just graduated from Kindergarten. His teacher, Mr. Pratt, was very caring and kept parents informed. In my opinion he went above and beyond the call of duty. The afterschool program called The Study Institute is amazing. The staff is extremely caring and really care about the kids. Overall I am happy my son is attending Windsor Hills and would highly recommend this school.

I had two extremely different experiences at Windsor Hills. The principal was of no help. I finally stopped trying with Windsor Hills and removed my children.

My daughter graduated from the 5th grade at Windsor Hills Math/Science/Aerospace Magnet in 2007. She has attended since the 1st grade. In all I would say her teachers have been very helpful and communicates well with parents and children. The school is well maintained. I will miss Windsor Hills.

Great school.Location is wonderful.Teachers are excellent and care about students progress. My son is in the fourth grade and his teacher mrs.Hesis is wonderful.

My daughter has attended this school since kindergarten she will be graduating in June I must say that I am extremely proud her and it is because of the fine quality of teachers and leadership here at this school. I would recommend this school to any parent seeking enrichment in your child's education, and not to mention discipline and safety. Me and my daughter are happy with this school and they have prepared her with the necessary tools for middle school

I have two children enrolled in this school, one in the fourth grade, and one in the first grade. This school is wonderful. The teachers, and staff are all very knowledgeable, and caring. My children have soared greatly in all areas, and have received nearly perfect test scores. I highly recommend this school.

My child has attended this school for two years. I love the parent teach involvement and the oppurtunities that this school allows the children to be apart of. I have had nothing, but good experiences all the way around. Mrs. Crowe, the principal, is a lovely person and has an open door policy. My son experienced the Washington, DC trip for the fifth graders and he had a wonderful experience. I would like to thank the teachers and parents for making this such a wonderful experience for me and my child.

My experience with Windsor has been a great. My son attending 1st last year and his teacher, Ms. Macasero was absolutely wonderful. She made learning interesting for my son as well as challenging. This year, he is already thriving under the instruction of a very experienced teacher, Mrs. Piligian who I have found shares my same view on homework, personal responsibility and the need to challenge. I also found that this year (2005-2006) Administration at Windsor Hills (this, including all office staff) has been wonderfully helpful and courteous. Overall, I am very satisfied with all the school offers.

My daugther is in the fourth grade at Windsor Hills and has attended since Pre-Kindergarten and it's been a great experience. Like most schools in LAUSD, there are some issues but there is a lot of parent involvement and I've had great experiences with her teachers. The school has a great Principal and our family loves it.

My daughter recently graduated from Windsor Hills. The school is excellent from the administration, to great teachers, well rounded students and good parental involvement. While we have had a great five years there. I will still support the school's efforts to remain a California's Distinguished School.

This school has developed a solid reputation for focusing on the high level skills that prepare kids for middle school and beyond. The atmosphere is safe, with a no nonsense policy towards behavior. The teachers are committed to making sure their students have a good foundation before moving on.

My daughter graduated from this school in 2002 and was a student from the first grade. The teachers were very diligent and persistent in shaping the understanding of the children in all grades. The faculty were always helpful to me and my child though we needed assitance with very minor issues. I and my daughter are very proud to say she was a student there. The after school program that was there when my daughter was there was great and there were lost of varied activities for the students to participate in.

Windsor Hills is a great school. I attended there as a kid and two of my children have also attended. Although it has changed over the years. Parent involvement in my opinion is welcome and remains high.

My daughter attended windsor hills for her 5th grade year. This is a very good school the principal as well as the teachers provide excellent academic skill as well as social skills for all the students. We really enjoyed the one year she attended, I recommend the school to anyone.

My son attended Windsor Hills from kindergarten until he graduated from the 5th grade. I am currently trying to get my 6 and 5 year-old boys into Windsor Hills Magnet Program. I was so satisfied with the supportive staff, great academics and parent involvement. Children were disciplined appropriately and the homework load was reasonable. Stanards are high at Windsor Hills and the support and patience are there for your child.

'Both of my children have attended Windsor Hills since Kindergarden. The new principal former assistant principal Ms. Crowe has taken the place of long time principal Verteane Burrell. Both are highly knowledgeable in the academic, and safety of our children.' The California Distinguished School of the year 2003-2004 traditional year. This school in the beautiful Windsor Hills of Los Angeles I'm so proud and privaleged to be apart of. This school has been in attendance from now three generations of my family. The old time September through June traditional school year make this a great opportunity for consistant months of education. The uniforms burgandy and grey teach the children not to focus on the name brand clothes. Also, free dress on Friday gives them a chance to give their uniforms a break. The extra curricular activities, safety, and discipline are rated a five (5) from my point of view.

My daughter will be attending Windsor Hills Magnet school in the fall of 2004. I am very excited. I have heard some wonderful things about this school. I just recently enrolled her and in speaking to a parent whose 5 children have attended this school from K-5, she is very happy with the academic program, as well as how the principal disciplines the students. The whole administration seems to have a lot of patience and seem to be very loving. I think I will be very happy with this school. I am very impressed with the 'School Mission'. This schools main goal is to empower students to achieve maximum potential academically and socially. That is very important to me. Also, this school has various Instrutinal progams. 'Open Court' and an accelerated math program 'Scott Foresman Math'. Science is very important. The annual science fair is very fun and exciting.

My daughter has attended Windsor Hills for 2 years. The first year was absolutely terrible. There was poor communication with the teacher as well as the principle. On several occasions I attempted to communicate with both the teacher and principle with no success. I received no acknowledgement until I contacted individuals at the school board level. This is not a school I would recommend to those who don't settle. Although there were several parents who felt the same, about the teaching and overall school itself, no one would speak on it. This year the teacher is much better in teaching and demeanor, I can't say much of anything else in the school has changed.

I have two children attending Windsor Hills Magnet school. I also have a child that previously attended the school, who has since graduated. I must say this school has good academics, disiplinary guide lines and excellent teacher involement and participation. My oldest child currently atending the school is writing busness proposals and practicing higher level mathematical thinking. My youngest child is in one of the kindergarten classes and he is writing sentences and thinking on a very high abstract level. I would recommend this school to parents who are looking for an environment where thier child can grow and learn at a higher level.

This school has a wonderful program, and I belive one of the best in the district.

My child has been at Windsor Hills since PreK, and she has thrived. We feel that the education she is receiving at this school is comparable to that offered by many private schools. The faculty and staff are extremely qualified, and there is a real sense of community on campus. Parent involvement is high. I would definitely recommend this school
