Loreto Street Elementary School Reviews

The rating on this website is completely inaccurate. I pulled my child out of a much higher ranking, CA distinguished, blue ribbon school in order to send her to Loreto, and I drive over 30 miles every day to bring her there and back. I cannot emphasize enough that Loreto is an excellent school, with highly trained, professional teachers and staff. My child is gifted, and her teacher created a special curriculum to challenge her. She has never been happier. The best part of all, however, is that Loreto is one of a few LA Unified schools that offer a dual language program. The best time to learn a 2nd language is when you're young! At Loreto, you have the option of placing your child in a bilingual class, where they learn to speak, read and write in Spanish as well as English. Great Job Loreto!

Great school...Is not a true shared decision making staff...Teachers are stifled in using their experience and creativity in designing their curriculum....

It is a good school, the teachers are really helpful in getting the kids to learn. They try really hard to keep the children interested in school. Both my boys have been going to this school, the oldest just culminated (graduated) from Loreto. But all the teachers have been really good, and are still good. Leadership is very good also, they practilly know each kid by their first name. Fun after school programs also.
