Beverly Hills High School Reviews

my daughter will be a junior this year and so far has loved the school. I on the other hand would like more 'school spirit' there are not enough dances or events that keep the school a community. It seems a lot of the kids don't attend the dances because they are 'lame'. I think they need to figure out how to get the kids involved and excited to attend these things because they will regret it when they are older. I know a lot of high schools where the kids all go to the dances/proms etc.....You have to be a self motivated child to get the most out of this school. I guess it is a good experience for college but it would help if the teachers kept a little better watch over these very young kids.

I go to this school becuase I didnt get into Palisades High and its a good school but really rich & material like. I like Palisades better though because it is more diverse and more fun. B ut Beverly is still good.

I am currently attending BHHS and it's great! Although the school is very materialistic (not suprisingly, come on now, it's beverly hills) the education here is phenomenal!! The teachers are great. Although the only thing i'd say is a disadvantage is that, since it's very materialistic, some kids that don't come from a 'wealthy' family might not fit in as well. That's the only concern of mine. But otherwise it's a great school! I love it here! =]

My Children are very fortunate to attend Beverly. The resources are plentiful and the API score is high. I greatly disagree with the parent's opinion of the school being poor. I think if she was to visit less fortunate schools she would change her opinion. The Math and Science building is very spectacular. Every time that I'm on campus, the children are well behaved and I see hugs and smiles. The school aslo has a zero tolerance for drugs and violence with a firm strategy for controlling it. This is my Child's 4th year there and I'm extremly satisfied.

Good School, but very overrated. I sent one kid there and one to Palisades High. In my opinion, besides the extra-curricular activites and programs, it is a poor school. The teaching is terrible, and the Beverly Hills community isn't that great because the kids are undisciplined and very materialistic.

Good school. A few teachers are sub-par (everyone I talk to hates them), but that is to be expected in any public school because of the Union. Nevertheless, above average.

This school is amazing. at times it can be a very annoying enviroment but it gives 100% effort for the students.

Amazing school, loved my tiem there. Unfortunately, I had to move during my junior year. My current high school is nothing compared to Beverly and I would do anything to go back. The teachers are great, the overall atmosphere is friendly and laid back without being overtly so. Great selection of after school activities and in school ones as well.

BHHS has excellent teachers and many extracurricular activities for my daught to partake in.espcially their theater arts program which is simply fantastic because my son wants to be and actor.

Beverly Hills High SChool provides good education but does not have much racial diversity so our kids can learn about different cultures in a safe environment.

Excellent music, art, and drama programs that rival those of any of the private schools in the West L.A. area.

Great school with lots and lots of extra curricular activities. Great student body with diversity and enthusiasm.

Great school and academics. This school has great test scores and programs.

As I graduate of this school (and a small Ivy League College) I know I received a first rate education! My High School had more extra curricular activies than my college--both Athletics and Academics. There were opportunities to excel both in and out of the classroom, fine & caring teachers, and lifelong friendships to be made. As an Honor Student I even worked for a semester as a Congressional Intern after school. Some kids certainly were spoiled and with attitude issues--but teachers can't be expected to compensate for poor values and unstable home environments. On the whole, many many kids were used to 'Having it all.' The balance can be achieved by what is offered by parents at home. Overall, this is a great school and I am proud to be a graduate! This place is as good (or better) than any private school in L.A. --4 years well spent!

My son kelsey went here and she really enjoyed mr geret.

25 January 2006 I am a long-term substitute teacher at BHHS. The students have performed well on their recent exams for 1/2006. However, they are quite arrogant, rude, and disrespectful. They need discipline and diversity training. Their parents need to discipline them and teach them to respect all teachers, including their substitute teachers. I have only been a substitute teacher for the past three weeks, and I have called a few parents and complained about several students' disciplinary problems. I am extremely upset and I shall not return to teach at BHHS. The students' behavior is an extremely sad commentary on the state of public school education. At BHHS, I taught English 10 Honors and AP English. In addition to two B.A.s from UCLA, I have a law degree, and I have taught university students. I have taught in other school districts, too. People, wake up! Your children are the future!

Great school, my child loves it, and the theachers are very friendly.

This is a great school. Safe, and the quality of the AP programs is up there. Their pass rates on the AP Exams (3 or higher) is extremely well, and every year a lot of students get into the top schools (including IV leagues and UC Berkeley).

The quality of the ecademic program is excellent.

Wow. this school is amazing, the kids love it and the teachers are great. Really good education, and the class sizes are not big at all! Alot of extra activities such as; soccer, football, cheerleading, dance team. Only downside: Parents are not so much involved. but all and all: 'Good School.'

One of the highest in academic reputation. Great school.

One of the highest in academic reputation. Great school.

Beverly Hills high school is an excellent school. Great kids, great academics, and a great neighborhood.

This is a wonderful school. It prepared my son who just graduated for Yale so well. He is excelling above all of his peers there, even those educated in the East Coast Prep Schools.

Great school; all AP classes; great sports and theatre programs
