Rose & Alex Pilibos Armenian School Reviews

I think that this school is wonderfull! people dont like it so much because they think teachers arent so strict but i think if u play with the childs emotians alot and put stress it wont be good so i myself keep a tight leash on the teachers as well as my daughter but i dont stress anyone out.!

Terrible school, teachers are very uncooperative with you, in my opinion a parent needs to be in constant contact with the teacher and they do not care at all and on top of it do everything with an attitude. Do not send your child here if you want them to get an education

I enrolled my children to this school based on what I heard from other parents that it is a very good school and I wanted to make my kids talk armenian atleast when they are on campus but my son said that we dont talk armenian even in armenian class. My son comes home with an attitude now and my daughter comes home crying sometimes saying the teacher yelled at me. I dont know what to do anymore. I sent them to this school from another private school so they can learn life lessons but everything is getting worse and worse everyday. My daughter had a 3.9 GPA in her other school now it dropped to the low 3.0's. I am even considering sending them to public school because I heard they started teaching armenian classes now and they will probably be happier and go to school with more enthusiasm now.

Terrible school, teachers do not care at all, they are too young and inexperienced to teach, which makes the students in my opinion lose interest in school. Also overpriced considering there is a recession going on

This school use to be good years ago, before the new administration took over. The prinicpal is never around and the teachers don't seem qualified. The cirriculum is below standard and the attitudes of the students are horrible. There is a lot of preferencial treatment from teachers with the students. The food is very limited with no choices. The traffic situation for drop offs and pick up is so unorganized, you wonder if there is any staff working. If I were you, I would not send your child to this school if you value the education of your child.

The preschool was great and deserves a 5 star. I cannot say the same for the elementary school. The School suffers from ineffective leadership. The head of school is not visible and fails to fund raise. The teachers are underpaid, either too inexperienced or too old to be effective and they do not care. There is always an excuse for not doing what they are hired to do. Lack of resources is always a common excuse for not doing things the right way. There is excessive yelling and too much negative reinforcement. The facilities are ho-hum and not adequate. There is a general feel and sense of disorder throughout the campus. You would not be worse off in any of its alternatives.

I will coment on behalf of Mary Postosian Armenian Preschool which is part of Alex Pilibos Armenian School. My daughter went to this preschool for 3yrs and truly loved it very much. She was very loved, cared and nurtured at all times. The campus is very safe, the teachers are wonderful and caring. She has learned a whole lot from this preschool. The principal Mrs. Takouhi is very caring and loving. Mrs. Alvart is the best 2yr old teacher, she has been there for over ten years. Overall its the best preschool ever.
