Viewpoint School Reviews

Lovely place, kind and competent educators.

Great Teachers fosters a competitive nature without being stressful

Viewpoint is a good, but not great school. It prides itself on being a challenging college prep school but academically does not compare with Harvard Westlake, Oakwood or Brentwood. The educators are hit and miss; some are excellent, others not so good. Unfortunately, the school is in the midst of a major capital campaign and is more intent on improving its' facilities than its' faculty. Potential is great for the future if the administration re- prioritizes and focuses more on the students and less on maintaining the status quo.

Clique ridden, social pressure cooker of a school. You will be expected to show them the money!

We are very pleased with this school. Our son came to Viewpoint in sixth grade and had a smooth transition. He loved the school from the very first day. Communication with the staff is responded to immediately. Students are treated very respectfully. There are opportunities for everyone in sports, music, and arts. The campus setting is beautiful too.

I have 2 children at Viewpoint School. We are very pleased with everything about this school. We especially like the way Viewpoint makes learning exciting. My daughters are excited about going to school every day because they know that each day will bring a new adventure in learning. The teachers are excellent.

This is our first year and we are so pleased with the high school. It fosters a great and healthy sense of acedemic competitiveness. Great for gifted high acheivers.

The school is absolutely amazing! There's sports, performing arts, academics, electives, and language classes! There's only one downside, which is pretty big. Most of the students bully eachother, mentally, physically, and emotionally. However if you get past that this school is awesome! I am reccomending it too all of my friends who don't go here, and they're applying! This school is great!

This school has it all; academic excellence, enthusiastic teachers. successful students, caring administration. The teachers here believe that it is their job to make your child successful. Viewpoint Admission is very selective. I highly recommend this school.

Our experience at Viewpoint School has been excellant. We currently have 2 children there and another who is an alumni. The Primary and Lower school leadership is second to none. Our High School is also quite superior. Our weak link is our middle school, which I can only hope is being addressed. We are very pleased with the music program and love that children are required to take an instrument at the 5th grade level. The competitive sports programs also begin in 5th grade. We have attended other private schools that were highly touted and have found that only Viewpoint has lived up to its reputation of excellance in education. They are very supportive of their student body and nurture respect and community involvement. They do require uniforms in grades K-8 and maintain a dress code for their high school. These are quite a group of kids!

great school-caring faculty, super theater & music depts, 100% college acceptance into 4 year schools; Very good parent volunteer opportunities

I have been going to Viewpoint for 12 years. You could not find a better school anywhere. Viewpoint does not only teach you academics but also how to be a good person and to lead a good and clean life. I have either had or known 95% of the teachers that have been at the school while I have been there and they are the most amazing teachers anyone could have. I would not choose any other school besides Viewpoint to go to.

This is a very good school. It is very expensive but it is worth it!

Our son is coming into his own since transferring to Viewpoint. We are very pleased that he is able to attend this wonderful school.

In our view, Viewpoint is the best school in the world. It is the Stanford of elementary/high schools. It is hard to imagine how a school could be run any better. The students are given every opportunity to develop in all areas. The tuition is expensive, but as one parent said: 'how can you afford NOT to send your child here'. Our son is a primary school student and absolutely loves it. Most of the administators have been hired away from top universities. With the funding the school has it can attract the best teachers and recruits worldwide. Our son has enrichment classes in French, Computer, Science, Library time, Art, Art Appreciation and Music. He is reading on a fourth grade level and writing and illustrating his own books. Viewpoint truly encourages a life long love of learning.

Terrific school. An oasis of excellence, stability and tranquility in a sea of blandness and mediocrity. Our daughter has been there for 4 years and, while she is academically gifted, she is still challenged and continues to grow. But the mind is not the only thing nurtured. The school has an energetic sports program and its arts and music classes are first rate. Every student participates several times a year in assemblies where the student must speak publicly. As another parent has said - it's very expensive. While that is certainly true, you get what you pay for.

Really great performining arts center found here.

This is a wonderful school for children that are very academically inclined. The enrichment programs are incredible. The campus is beautiful and the staff is very dedicated. The work load is intense even at lower grades. A great school to prepare your child for college.

Great school but very expensive.

Viewpoint School is an exceptional acedemic experience for all children. The Headmaster is a well-informed and dedicated educator. Every teacher we have had for the last 3 years have all been fantasic and capable of nurturing a child's pluses. I am also impressed by how safe the children are - there is a plan in place for just about any possible circumstance.
