Loyola High School Reviews

My son currently attends Loyola and will be graduating this June. I think that Loyola has not only greatly exceeded my expectations on academics, faculty, staff and facilities on every level and every turn, but I am also so impressed with the students and their respect and manners that they not only have for their teachers and faculty but each other makes me so proud to be a Loyola parent. Not enough stars on here to show my gratitude and appreciation for the Loyola 'family'.

I'm currently attending Loyola and it is better than anyone could imagine. Best teachers, best facilities, best atmosphere, the list goes on and on. Only one word to describe the Loyola experience: amazing!

An excellent, but tough school. Sports is pretty top-notch, but what really sets Loyola apart is its staff of top-notch teachers. The cost is perhaps the schools greatest burden. At a cost of about 10 grand, the school eats up about 1/3 of my family's income. However, I do believe that the excellent school environment is totally worth it.

Teachers are great, and sports are excellent. I'll be sad when I'm done here. Best all boys school in America.

Loyola is second to none in the state and is one of the top high schools in the country. Loyola focuses on educating the whole person; mind, body, and spirit. Community Service and Athletics are also the best in LA.

Loyola is a great all boy school with academics that can't be beat. I have a son that attends this school and another one waiting in the wings for the opportunity to attend this great school. The extracurricular activities that are available can not be hailed enough. Being a cub mom has been a wonderful experience for me & my sons can't wait to be 'a man with & for others'!!

Loyola is one of the best schools in southern California. I love it, it is amazing and people in the Los Angeles area think highly of it. Loyola is the most amazing school

Loyola is one of the better high schools in the Los Angeles area. My four brothers and I attended Loyola, and I hope that my son will be able to attend when he reaches high school age. As you would expect with a Catholic school, it maintains high academic standards while not being one of the more expensive private schools in Los Angeles. It has the number of AP and the strong foreign language offerings that you would expect at a top private school.

Loyola High School of Los Angeles would be a bargain at any price, but its quality of faculty, facilities, and program make it a top choice for boys education in LA. There is a place for every young man to become 'a man for others' at Loyola, whether he be a jock, a drama guy, a computer/gaming fan, or just an all-round kid looking to find himself. Parents as well as alums are committed to this school, and it's obvious why -- LHS is committed to their sons. Our two sons credit Loyola and their teachers with much of their college and career success.

Arguably the best all boys high school in Southern California. Routinely sends graduating seniors to Ivy League universities. The teachers are dedicated and demand excellence from their pupils. Academics are balanced with a plethora of extracurricular activities and Christian service projects.

As a Parent and former student. Loyola was the best desicion my parents ever made for me. Great teacher support and guidance with the freedom to think outside of the box.

Great over all school. Prepares your child for college and for the rest of their lives

I can't say enough about this high school. Their motto is 'A man for others.' and truly everything about this school strives to attain that goal. With stringent academic standards, excellent extracurricular activities (everything ranging from music/drama/sports/community service/political clubs, etc) to a close knit community of students, teachers and parents, there is no other school in the LA area I would send my son to. We groomed him for this school from the beginning of his academic career and were more than pleased when he was accepted. We highly recommend this school for strong academic standards, high moral values, and strong community involvement.

This is one of the best schools in LA. It is a college prep with focus on academic achievement. It is balanced with an excellent Physical Education program. It is located on the site of the oldest college in LA St Vincents. I recommend it because my child has gotten a real education based upon efforts and was not allowed to be pushed through. Thanks

Prestige, but Not. I attended Loyola all 4 years and after graduating i came to appreciate the things you wouldnt expect. Like knowing how to lie well. Knowing ho authority shouldnt be in my life. I learned that things arent always fair. I hated it. I went in with interest in religion, and left without faith at all.

A great high school experience!

Excellent school with great co-curricular activities and academics. This school really helps your son impress the college board. Of my three sons, one graduated and attended Harvard University, one is attending Yale University, and the third is attending Princeton University. What an excellent school!

As a parent and graduate of Loyola High School in 1940, no connections otherwise, the benefits we received at Loyola have been one of the most important influences on the developement and principles of my life, all on the most positive side. I would not have been a Physician MD today if it had not been for the influences of the faculty and principles for which the school stands, had it not been for our education there.
