This is a cross-section of my CD, "CONVERSATIONS WITH MY FATHER", showcasing especially the uptempo and high energy songs in a short 4 minute demo! Ok, now what are we listening to?
TOP: The soundclip HI ENERGY MUSIC MIX features in its first section the fabulous Yamaha concert grand I used for the (more commercially oriented) starting number, "SMOOTHJAZZ WITH A SHARP STICK".
You are listening to my buddy Jimmy Haslip (Yellowjackets) on bass, Kevin Ricard on percussion, Dennis Farious and Katisse Buckingham spicing up the horn section......

Hear these Take Six-inspired vocals? That's Kimaya Seward (Hiroshima lead vocalist), Terry Bradford (fantastic gospel artist) and myself on multi-part vocals, "question-and-answering" with the fabulous Gerald spikes on Saxophone.
This song, "NOW THAT YOU FOUND ME", breaks into a classical, cello-driven section which gets totally visual later on in the song, but I could not feature all the highlights in this short soundclip....sorry..

ahhhh- fun time for funky fingers, that's the smashing muted trumpet solo of Dennis Farious, supported by (THE) Paul Jackson, Jr (!) on electric guitar...UNEXPECTED MOVE's bass and drums are programmed (hope you still like it now ;-)

My most experimental fusion tune on the CD: "BIRD SPEAK"
That would be Tom Brechtlein (Chick Corea) on drums, Jimmy Haslip on (murderous) bass, check out his solo at the end.
The melodic material is played by Mike Miller on electrig guitar and myself on Moog Synthesizer, last but not least there's a duel of percussion and drums ;-)
