I had been to various Indian restaurants and I classify them as Americanized Indian and authentic Indian restaurant. Americanized usually have better service, lesser spicy food and are always costlier. since this is located in downtown Pasadena I was not expecting it to be very cheap but as per service and quality of food they are coslty.
Last time I had been at lunch which was buffet.I liked what they had on for buffet but this time the service was slow and they have to reminded of orders to be brought again.
We had ordered two chicken dishes and a raita (yogurt with veggies). they totally forgot to bring us raita and took ages to serve another set of papad. The served quantity was not very good. Even though I went early at 6 and not many people were there it took them time to get us seated. I am gonna try more Indian restaurent in Pasadena but based on the previous reviews this was not worth it. I would rather go to Aretesia or Glendale for better and cheaper food
Pros: Parking,
Cons: Service
Excellent Food and Service - No disappointments

Indian Cuisine is one of my favorites and it's been very difficult finding QUALITY cruising in the Pasadena area.
The restaurant was busy on the Saturday evening of our visit. Most of the tables here are very close to each other, however, upon request, we were seated in a separate area that was spacious and quiet.
They serve beer and wine only.
Our Chicken Tika and Lamb Vindaloo were perfected prepared and attractively presented. The lamb was very tender, unlike at most Indian Establishments that I''ve visited previously. The Vindaloo sauce itself was the best that I'd ever had. Spicy AND Savory. The Chicken Tika was outstanding as well.
Service was EXCELLENT.
We plan to return soon..
Pros: Outstanding food and service
Cons: Some tables are very close together
great indian food, good service, friendly staff

I recently started going to New Delhi. The ambience is a bit dated, but the food and service are great! I went there on a Sunday afternoon, and it was serving buffet only. I found the buffet to be less enjoyable because the food that's served is for the general public. Personally, I prefer dishes that have more of a kick. Overall, I highly recommend New Delhi for its food.
Pros: Food, Service
Cons: Decor
One of the early originals in Pasadena!

My comments about this place is about to change for the better compared - to my previous review 4 years ago. Having visited here recently because it was late and we didn't want to travel too far, so we decided to try out and see if there were any changes...boy let me tell ya, I must say that the place has very much improved. From the newly renovated theme, the staff, the menu, and they even reduced their prices. I had the never-before-seen item on their new menu, the "Shrimp Masala"...man oh man, I can't believe how good it was and I can just return to New Delhi Palace every week just for the item alone. The "Vegetable Pakoras" were also very good and not to mention the delicious 'Naan' bread that the waiter had complimented us at no charge (due an ordering error). This place has really gone through a 360 degree makeover - right down to the T.
