Lunch Special Is The Best I Have Been Coming To Siam's Since I Was 16.I Can Remeber When They Served The Pineapple Fried Rice In A Half Of A Pineapple Shell.Order The Pineapple Shrimp Curry It's Spicy But I Love Spicy.Also There Sweet And Sour Sauce Is The Best I Ever Had.I Just Moved To Marina Del Rey So Now I Can Drive A Couple Of Blocks To Get My Lunch.YUMMY.

Both times that I have ordered here, I have been equally disappointed. First off, let someone who knows how to speak and understand English answer the phone and take orders. Also, it's not the customers' fault that you guys are busy and can't deliver someone's order until an hour and a half later. The first time I called, I had to repeat my address 10 times (no exaggeration!). When the food finally came, it was not at all what I expected. I had ordered pepper steak, but it turned out to be a tv dinner steak thrown into a water downed brown "sauce" with a few frozen vegetables thrown in. After that experience, I thought I would give them a second chance and maybe it'll be better. NOPE! I ordered at 7:12, called at 8:15 when my food still didn't come, spoke to some lady who didn't apologize but kept telling me how busy they were. Then she said they are leaving right now. They finally got to the apartment complex around 8:45 and called me to come open the gate for them. I told them that since they were able to come into the complex to drop their menus at everyone's door, they can come in to deliver my food. Please, save your money and order from somewhere else.

Disclaimer: I LOVE Thai food. I will eat Thai food almost anywhere but I am aware that there are some pretty low-quality places in LA (many of which I've eaten at). I used to eat the lunch special at Star of Siam as often as I could but my friend took me to Siam Best one night after work. We had some delicious, high quality vegetarian items (she is vegetarian). We had excellent noodles and the cold spring rolls and garlic pepper shrimp. Everything was really good & higher quality than I am used to. I liked it so much I returned a few weeks later with two friends. Someone ordered the mango salad which I thought sounded boring. I was wrong! It was AWESOME. We also had the noodles and some chicken curry dish. Everything was delicious. I have not tried the soups or desserts. My husband and I ordered take-out last month and our food arrived in about 15 minutes. It was about $18-20 for 2 dishes and an appetizer. We had leftovers the next day.

I order BBQ ckicken last time, it so terrible, I can tell that I was made like a month before and reheat when serving us. Chicken smell bad. I saw many customers order BBQ combo, maybe it's cheap but for me taste bad and old. Every dishes are big portion but I expect quality more than quantity. They cook so fast everything finish in less than 10 mins and they served us at the same time. It seems to be fast food restaurant than fine dining cousine.
