My room mate and I were moving from one apartment to two different locations. We identified who's boxes and furniture were who's with different colored artist's tape. (The tape used to mark the floor and stuff on TV sets) The guys were awesome, fast, professional and knew exactly what they were doing. You could tell they had this down to a science. Our kitchen was too small for the refrigerator to fit through the door and they had to lift it over the counters to get it out. That didn't even slow them down! It took about 30 seconds for the fridge to get out of our kitchen it was amazing. I have a huge 4 foot by 6 foot painting that arrived in perfect condition also! Nothing arrived at the wrong destination even though we were moving from one place to two separate places. They were very gentle with all the boxes going up and down stairs. Speaking of stairs, we had 3 flights up and 3 flights down on our move. That is a lot of stairs! These guys still just whipped through moving all our stuff and barely looked winded. Amazing.

I was recommended to use Northstar for my move within Los Angeles. The 3 movers that came were efficient, courteous, and extremely helpful. Jesus Meza (Foreman), David Carillo, and Jose Sosa were extremely professional and got my entire move done within 4 hours. I would highly recommend using this company again.

We used NorthStar to move from CA to NC after seeing their A+ BBB rating. They damaged almost all our furniture and taped some of it together to try to hide it. The driver told us he was noting damage we noticed on the bill of lading and it turned out he hadn't. He tried to rush the whole process and get out of there ASAP. BE AWARE: DO NOT SIGN THE BILL OF LADING OR LET THE DRIVERS LEAVE UNTIL YOU HAVE EXAMINED EVERY ITEM THEY MOVED! If you don't note damage on the bill of lading both the movers and any insurance company you used will refuse to pay for it. (NorthStar recommended movnginsurance dot com, which we used and who were horrible and refused to pay for anything.) How is it possible to inspect everything when you have an entire houseful of stuff that you are moving and the driver is saying he has to leave because he has five other deliveries to make? That's not their problem. It's your problem if anything turns out to be damaged. These people are horrible and they cost us a fortune.
