Prior to prohibition Los Angeles County was the center for wine production in California. Cornell Winery & Tasting Room is dedicated to local wines that are grown and produced here in Southern California, from San Diego County and up into the Central Coast. The area is rich with history and colorful characters that produce amazing wines. In an era that makes us contemplate the carbon footprint of the products we purchase there is no better time than now to learn more about the products we produce in our own backyard! Come explore these amazing wines, enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Santa Monica Moutains and spend the day away form the stresses of the city.

If you are into wine like I am, you might have thoughts of building a wine bar, a wine store....
This is your dream... come and visit it.
Worth the fantastic drive, this destination is ideal for any visit to Malibu and very close to the 101 on your way home.
Tell them I sent you!
What a fun find!

Stumbled upon this gem of a place on way back from the beach. Great setting and fun people, this is a cool, funky place that features local wines. An there are more than you might imagine! They're set up for group functions, too. Definitely have to return to this tasting room when we've more time!
Pros: Cool, quaint out of the way place to taste new wines
Cons: Still rather new and growing
Great staff and location

I have now been to several events at the Cornell Winery and I have had a wonderful experience every time. The owners are great and attend to their clients’ every need. The ambiance is fantastic! You can feel the history of the building and it fits in flawlessly to its canyon surroundings. It is perfect for company parties or wedding receptions, both of which I have attended at the winery. I have also stopped by on a weekend afternoon to taste some good wine and while away the day. I highly recommend this undiscovered gem.
Pros: I know of nothing like it in LA
Cons: None that I can think of
An enjoyable experience!

I went there with three friends on a recommendation and we were not disappointed. We were serviced by the owners despite the fact that they had another employee woking and they explained the wines we sampled explicitly. We were so happy with our experience, we ended up buying three bottles of the wines we sampled. I definitely would go back.

The owners are genuinely charming. The building is beautiful, rustic yet elegant. The wine from this area is so good - it's exciting. Fantastic place for an afternoon wine-tasting, or a special private event. It is absolute magic, covered with amazing art, offering a unique and wonder giftshop, and fun items.... like chocolate pasta! This place is the BEST! See it for yourself and I konw you'll agree. I want to work there!
Pros: Unlike any winetasting experience I've ever had! GREAT!
Cons: No Cons whatsoever
