Enjoyed my evening and the ambiance. Great food and drinks , fun spot. I would recommend some discounted drinks in this economy but all in all, I loved it!

I moved from Chicago and live a block from Paradise. I was so excited to have what seemed a fun place for cocktails and conversation so close. After several visits, I have accepted that the food is not going to get any better and it is mediocre (at best). The whole place stinks of small town putting on a Versace gown and calling themselves "classy". The staff treats the customers they don't know with a contempt that suggests that you have entered a club for which you must be someone's guest but are not a member. Of course, they have a regular clientele that have endured the attitude and have been accepted as members. You will likely see the same cast of characters wearing their silk shirts with the high tipping coots who have "bought" their membership clinging to them at any opportunity. With any luck, Mary will be like her sister in Chicago and the rest of us can go for a good time without the pretense that Paradise relies on.

Pros: Location

Cons: Food, Attitude, Aged Furnishings

Great place - just too pricey for this area known as the Gay Ghe-to. Nice staff. Has lots of relics from past Long Beach places: the big eagle statue from the old downtown bank, floorboards from the old skating rink, chairs from the Queen Mary. Lots of politics inhouse too - Peyton Place has this as a rival.

Pros: Nice clean place to go

Cons: Expensive
